Planning a commercial project, apartment scheme, alteration or change of use? Raise the fire safety requirements at the outset so the project team can establish the appropriate application and technical scope.
Requirements depend on the building and proposed works. An FSC may be relevant to non-domestic buildings, apartments and certain alterations or changes of use. It is not a certificate required for every ordinary house extension.
Send the address, existing and proposed use, drawings and details of any previous certificates or authority correspondence. Des can discuss the technical coordination needed and the appropriate specialist involvement for your proposal.
Any appointment for application preparation, drawings or coordination is agreed after review of the project and the professional team. Specialist fire design and statutory sign-off must be undertaken by appropriately competent professionals. The relevant Building Control Authority issues the certificate.
